§ 1. Supreme executive power

The supreme executive power of the Osage Nation is hereby vested in a Principal Chief, who shall be titled “Principal Chief of the Osage Nation”, and whose Osage title shall be (Ki-he-kah). These titles shall be reserved exclusively to this office. The Principal Chief shall dutifully support the Constitution and laws of the Osage Nation and shall see that the laws are faithfully executed, administered and enforced.
