The Principal Chief shall appoint the Chief Justice and Associate Justices of the Osage Nation Supreme Court, as well as the Chief Judge of the Trial Court, by and with the advice and consent of the Osage Nation Congress. After serving one term of four (4) years, each will stand for retention by a vote of the qualified Osage electors and at the expiration of each four (4) year term thereafter until term limited. A person appointed and confirmed as a Justice or Chief Judge shall be limited to five (5) full terms in office in that position plus any initial partial term fulfilled as the result of a vacancy.
