A. The purpose of this Act is to create and fund a summer program experience designed to promote and create interest in health careers.

B. The Osage Nation Congress finds there is a shortage of Osage people occupying healthcare professions, and supports the establishment of a successful summer program to expose Osages to the possibilities offered by a career in healthcare.

C. The Osage Nation operates its own health care facility and administers health services to Osage members.

D. A stable and committed workforce of Osages best personifies a committed work force that shares a common vision in improving the health of Osages.

E. The Osage health system is best staffed with committed young Osages who have the benefit of exposure to health careers during their early student years.
