§ 5-108. Prohibition against multiple candidacies and holding multiple offices.
A. No person may be registered as a candidate for more than one position in an election.
B. No person may occupy the office of Principal Chief, Assistant Principal Chief, or be a member of the Osage Nation Congress while holding a concurrent position as a member of the Osage Minerals Council.
C. Except as expressly provided by this Act, no person may occupy more than one of the following offices concurrently:
1. Principal Chief;
2. Assistant Principal Chief; or
D. No person who is unsuccessful in a primary election may register as a candidate for any elected office within six months of the primary election in which the person was a candidate. Nothing in this subsection shall be interpreted to prohibit an unsuccessful primary candidate from eligibility as a candidate in a Minerals Council election or a special election. ONCA 17-107, eff.
