Any person who gives or receives money or any other thing of value for signing a petition addressed in this chapter, excluding payments made to a person for circulating such petition, is guilty of a criminal offense, and upon conviction, shall be subject the maximum penalties allowed by federal law. Any nonmember not subject to the criminal jurisdiction of the Osage Nation Court who violates this section shall be subject to exclusion from the Osage Nation property. Any signature obtained in violation of this section shall be void and shall not be counted in determining the legal sufficiency of the petition. ONCA 17-107, eff. Oct. 4, 2017.
