A. “Congress” means the Osage Nation Congress.

B. “Executive” means the Osage Nation Executive Branch.

C. “Authority” means the Osage Nation Utility Authority, or ONUA.

D. “Franchise” means the right granted by the ONUA to an entity to provide public utility services under the jurisdiction of this Act.

E. “Gas” means natural gas, compressed natural gas and propane that is owned, stored or distributed by a utility licensed by the Osage Nation Utility Authority.

F. “Utility” means any person, corporation or other legal entity, now or hereafter located, operating or providing utility services, or maintaining or controlling equipment or facilities for furnishing public utility services within the jurisdiction of the Osage Nation.

G. “Wastewater” means any water that has been adversely affected in quality by anthropogenic influence. It comprises liquid waste discharged by domestic residences, commercial properties, industry, and/or agriculture and can encompass a wide range of potential contaminants and concentrations.
