If a vacancy shall occur in the Osage Nation Congress, such vacancy shall be filled as follows:

The list of Osage Nation Congressional candidates in the last general election who did not receive enough votes to be elected will be examined and the vacant position will be filled from this list by the person with the highest number of votes, regardless of term length. If this candidate should be unable or unwilling to serve then the position will go to the candidate with the next highest number of votes and so forth until the position is filled.

Once the position is filled, the person so selected will serve the remainder of the vacant position’s term. ONCA 06-07, eff. Sept. 27, 2006.
