The Procurement Officer and the representative of Tribal Development authorizing the execution of a contract, and his/her relatives within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are forbidden to be interested directly or indirectly through stock ownership, partnership interest or otherwise in any such contract. Contracts entered into in violation of this section shall be void. Persons willfully violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor with punishment up to one year imprisonment and/or a Two Thousand Dollar ($2,000.00) fine and shall be grounds for removal.
