§ 2-603. Motor pool requirements.
A. All vehicles owned or leased by the Osage Nation, including General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles, shall be administered and maintained by the motor pool.
B. Osage departments and programs that do not utilize a government vehicle at least four days out of the work week shall not be entitled to have a full-time government vehicle. If they utilize the vehicle four or more days per week, then the vehicle may remain in the possession of the department or program, except when the motor pool requires the vehicle for licensing, maintenance or inspection.
C. Osage departments and programs that do not utilize a government vehicle at least four days out of the work week shall reserve a vehicle through the motor pool for scheduled events and return the vehicle at the expiration of the scheduled event. The vehicle may be kept overnight if the scheduled event expires after the end of business hours and the scheduled event is located more than fifteen (15) miles from the motor pool site, but the vehicle must be returned before 9:00 a.m. the next business day.
D. Osage departments and programs may not reserve vehicles if there are no scheduled events for that respective department or program, or a specific need stated by the requesting department or program.
E. Priority for releasing vehicles to departments and programs shall be given to those who have reserved vehicles for scheduled events, and then daily requests may be fulfilled if there are vehicles available.
F. The motor pool shall reduce the number of vehicles owned or leased by the Osage Nation to a level that will cut costs, but maintain a sufficient number of vehicles to meet the transportation obligations of the departments and programs.
G. Each motor pool vehicle shall have the seal of the Osage Nation affixed to both the driver door and the front passenger door of the vehicle, and the seal must have a minimum diameter of eleven (11) inches. ONCA 09-68, eff. Oct. 10, 2009.
