A. All lineal descendants of those Osages listed on the Base Membership Roll are eligible for membership in the Osage Nation.

B. Upon birth and a period not exceeding three hundred sixty-five (365) days thereafter, a child born from a direct lineal descendant of an original allottee shall automatically qualify for temporary membership in the Osage Nation. Upon a temporary member’s application for benefits, the Membership Office shall verify the temporary member as being a direct lineal descendant of an original allottee. The Membership Office shall maintain an official record of all verified temporary members and provide that information to the Osage Nation Congress no less than once a calendar year, or upon request.

C. A person who is not a lineal descendant of a person on the Base Membership Roll is ineligible to be enrolled as an Osage Nation member.

D. Collateral descendants who are not lineal descendants do not qualify for membership in the Osage Nation. ONCA 16-16, eff. Dec. 14, 2015; ONCA 17-65, eff. Apr. 26, 2017.
