A. No person legally enrolled in the Osage Nation shall be subject to loss of membership, unless voluntarily relinquished.

B. Any adult member may relinquish his or her membership in the Osage Nation by notifying the Membership Office in writing, stating the reason for relinquishment. The Membership Office shall record the fact and date of relinquishment on the official Membership Roll, and the Membership Roll shall be updated to remove the person relinquishing membership from the Membership Roll.

C. A parent or legal guardian of a minor member may relinquish the membership of the minor in the Osage Nation by notifying the Osage Membership Office in writing, stating the reason for relinquishment. The Membership Office shall record the fact and date of relinquishment on the official Membership Roll, and the Membership Roll shall be updated to remove the minor from the Membership Roll.

D. The Osage Nation Tribal Court may remove any person from the Membership Roll for cause pursuant to this Act. No other person or entity may remove any person from the Membership Roll. ONCA 16-16, eff. Dec. 14, 2015.
