§ 1-301. Establishment of Membership Office.

The Osage Nation Membership Office is hereby authorized and created pursuant to the provisions of Article III, Section 4 of the Osage Nation Constitution.

A. The Office shall consist of a Membership Director and such other employees as the Osage Congress shall authorize through budget and appropriation of funds for the positions.

B. Employees of the Membership Office are employees of the Osage Nation and are governed by the Osage Nation Merit Employment System, and its rules for employment, discipline and termination.

C. Membership Office employees must undergo background checks to ensure their suitability for employment, and sign nondisclosure agreements, the breach of which will be grounds for immediate termination of employment. ONCA 16-16, eff. Dec. 14, 2015.
