Except as otherwise specifically provided, no person shall operate or drive a vehicle on the public highways within the Osage Nation jurisdiction unless such vehicle shall have a current registration tag with distinctive numbers assigned to it by a motor vehicle registration department or similar legally authorized agency on the rear of such vehicle, securely fastened. Numbered plates assigned to a motorcycle, trailer or house trailer shall be attached to the rear thereof. As far as is reasonably possible, such plates shall at all times be kept free and clear of mud, ice or snow so as to be clearly visible and all number plates, markers, or evidence of registration or licensing except for the current year shall be removed from such vehicle. Any person violating this section will be charged with an infraction and penalized with a fine not to exceed Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00).
