A. No person shall permit a child or ward under the age of eighteen (18) years to drive a motor vehicle on the public highways unless such minor is licensed to drive or has a valid permit issued by a motor vehicle department or similar legally authorized agency and is accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license.

B. Any person convicted of violating this section shall be charged with an infraction and penalized with a fine not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).
