§ 3-122. Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited.

A. No person may stop, stand or park a vehicle in any of the following places:

1. Within ten (10) feet of a fire hydrant;

2. In a designated fire lane;

3. On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked;

4. At any place where official signs prohibit stopping; or

5. In front of a public or private driveway.

B. Any driver who stops, stands, or parks on a roadway in violation of this section will be charged with an infraction and pay a fine not to exceed Fifty Dollars ($50.00).

C. When any duly authorized law officer finds a vehicle in violation of this section, the officer is authorized to move such vehicle at the owner’s expense or require the driver or person in charge of such vehicle to move such vehicle out of the prohibited area.
