Nothing contained in this chapter shall prohibit, without written permission, any parent, guardian, teacher or other person entrusted with the care of a child by the child’s legal parent or guardian from using ordinary force as a means of discipline, including but not limited to corporal punishment, provided the level of force used is proportional and congruent to the child’s behavior and the use of force does not result in bodily injury to the child.
