A. The Osage Nation Congress hereby establishes the Osage Veterans Memorial Commission. The Osage Veterans Memorial Commission shall consist of five Commission members with voting rights appointed by the Principal Chief and confirmed by the Osage Nation Congress by majority vote of the Osage Nation Congress.

B. At least three of the voting Commission members shall be veterans of the United States military.

C. The Principal Chief of the Osage Nation and the Speaker of the Osage Nation Congress shall be nonvoting ex officio Commission members.

D. The terms of office for the initial voting Commission members shall be staggered. Two Commission members shall serve an initial term of two years. Three Commission members shall serve a term of four years. The terms of the initial Commission members shall begin on the first day of the first month after the final member is confirmed by the Osage Nation Congress. Thereafter, the length of terms of the voting members of the Commission shall be three years. There is no limit on the number of terms a Commission member may serve.

E. Compensation of Commission members shall be set periodically by resolution of the Osage Nation Congress. ONCA 11-86, eff. Sept. 29, 2011; ONCA 17-83, eff. June 13, 2017.
